1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300CD Description

1985 Mercedes-Benz 300CD

This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300CD is a rust free, cosmetically solid example of the last of the 123 coupes. It was originally lapis blue metallic, but was repainted in Mercedes diamond blue metallic. It also has an excellent, original palomino LEATHER (not MB tex) interior, flawless crack-free dash and 140,000 documented miles.

A recent trip from West palm Beach to our garage in Titusville was undertaken, where the vehicle performed flawlessly.

The body: aside from the non original color, this is a rust free, accident free example. It has excellent weatherstripping and nearly perfect exterior trim. The doors and hood all close perfectly, with no alignment issues.

The rear window is free of delamination, and the sunroof works as new.

All four windows work, as well as the cruise control and radio.

Mechanically, the car is just as good. No oil leaks, oil consumption, over heating or smoking. Transmission function is perfect, and all the 1985 only vacuum equipment works as it is supposed to. None of it has been bypassed. The vacuum locking system functions correctly also.

The seats springs feel great, and the suspension on this car does no exhibit any issues during driving.

Acceleration is strong with no hesitation. Passing at highway speeds is effortless and the engine still feels strong at 90 mph. Fuel consumption is 24-27 mpg.

All the instruments are accurate and work reliably.

This is a fantastic example of the 300CD and whether the new owner chooses to enjoy it in its original color or take it back to its original lapis blue metallic, it is going to make somebody very happy.
