Offered for sale is an absolutely stunning, 21k original mile, mechanically excellent, cosmetically immaculate 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL finished in rare and striking Desert Taupe Metallic over a Burgundy leather interior with a black soft top. Originally sold by Britt Imports, the Mercedes dealer in Midland, TX, the car has effectively only had two owners, each in the Midland area. Britt Imports was later acquired by Alderson Mercedes-Benz, which is where the car was almost exclusively serviced throughout its life. Always garaged and doted over, the car was religiously maintained despite its sparing use, and is therefore as mechanically strong as it is gorgeous.

We humbly submit that Desert Taupe over Burgundy has to be one of – if not the – most attractive color combination in which the R107 was ever produced. The finish is virtually without flaw, cloaking an entirely straight body that retains all of its factory correct panel fits and gaps. The car’s few flaws (a few small rock chips, two extremely soft dings) are exceedingly insignificant: they don’t appear in any photographs and in no way detract from the car’s substantial overall appeal. We can’t stress enough how clean this car is. The chrome, rubber and glass is all in exceptional condition, as are the original alloy wheels, which are wrapped in Bridgestone tires with plenty of remaining tread. The original black soft top looks like it has never been used, with absolutely no wear and an entirely clear rear window.

The car’s interior is equally as immaculate, the Burgundy leather seats showing effectively no wear, the carpets, interior panels and wood veneer inserts are pristine and the dash is free of any warping or cracking, housing fully functional gauges and the original Becker Grand Prix radio. The hardtop is in showroom condition, including the flawless headliner. The car comes with two original keys, all of the original books and manuals, both soft/hardtop keys and an entirely clean CARFAX report showing 26 service records andabsolutely no accidents.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an exceptionally clean, well-maintained, 21k original mile 560SL finished in a rare and truly spectacular color combination. But don’t take our word for it: the pictures tell an accurate tale and the car is just as nice as you’re imagining.

We want this car to go to great home and would be happy to answer any questions or discuss a deal, so please feel free to email us or call us at805-202-4557. You can also visit us online atGoodmanReedto see additional photographs or contact us directly.
