Motorcartrader.com is proud to offer another great sports car. We have offered here a beautiful Mercedes 250SL in the gorgeous and original color combination of Papyrus White (717 G) with dark blue interior and dark blue German canvas soft top. This great car has a build date of April 24 of 1967 (production number 001721). The 250SL was the rarest of all “Pagoda” models produced and only offered in 1967.
This Mercedes 250SL runs and drives perfect. The brakes are excellent and it stops well with a brand new brake booster installed. The car does not fade on hard braking as it stops straight. It has great power and is a blast to drive. There is no hesitation with acceleration. Furthermore, the steering is true and does not shake or fade at higher speeds. This Mercedes 250SL does have power steering, which helps for a very enjoyable driving experience. The 4- speed manual transmission is very tight and shifting through the gears is a breeze, as a new major shifting bushing kit was installed recently. The engine is very strong with great oil pressure and excellent compression on all 6 cylinders between 150 psi and 155 psi. More details on this Mercedes Benz 250SL:
This is an absolutely wonderful Mercedes Benz 250SL to drive. It can be driven anywhere and daily and will easily keep up with today’s traffic. The w113 (230,250 and 280SLs) are one of the most driver engaging Mercedes SLs ever produced. This is especially true with the manual transmission and all of the above makes this a truly special Mercedes 250SL to enjoy as it appreciates.
