I purchased this MB recently from an estate. It had been parkedin their garage since 1972. Previous owners drove the car into their garage in 1972 and it had not been out of the garage until I bought it. I have had 2 disinterestedbody men look at the paint and they state the paint is original. This is a very solid original car.
Engine: Complete original that turns over.
Interior: I don't think the seat covers are original but I believe the rest appears to be.
Chrome: Chrome is mostly solid with some spotting. Missing 1 headlight surround, 2 rear fender trim pieces, beauty rings, chrome under outside trunk lid panel.
Body: I cannot find any rust thru on the body, or undercarriage anywhere. Surface rust where paint chipped off is from moisture caused from sitting in an enclosed garage for so long.
Tires: Tires need to be replaced.
Glass: Very good condition
This is an unusually solid example that can be cleaned up to drive or restore.
If you need more information or pictures please call me. This is a 1972 car. Please come take a look.
