1989 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series Description

For sale is my 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL. It has a Midnight Blue exterior with Palomino interior. I bought it 6 years ago from the original owner. It has 71,500 miles. The car has spent most of its life in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Very well documented service history. File literally inch thick with receipts. About $15,000 spent on maintenance in the last 5,000 miles. This includes the following;

Top end engine rebuild and related work;

- New head gasket, intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets etc...
- New valve stem oil seals and guides
- New plenum gaskets (pretty much anything made of rubber in the engine bay has been replaced)
- New vacuum lines
- New timing chain
- New timing chain tensioner
- New timing chain guide rails
- New camshaft oiler tube clips

Always genuine Mercedes parts used when available. No URO or Febi-Bilstein Chinese crap installed.

Under body was rust proofed with Corrosion Free 3000 many years ago.

The A/C system was mistakenly converted to r134a on recommendation by a very "clever" mechanic. It has never worked well since and the compressor front seal is now leaking. I am including with the sale a freshly rebuilt genuine Mercedes A/C compressor and new receiver dryer so the new owner can convert back to R12.

The car is stock except for Euro headlights (depot) installed with HID bulbs. Original Mercedes headlights with new headlight bezels also included with the sale.

The car starts and idles well. Good oil pressure. No vacuum leaks. No overheating. Transmission shifts well and kick down works. No leaks on garage floor.

This is a used car, there are going to be chips/dents/dings/cracks/scratches/rips etc... so please look at the photos and video (links below). No objections to International bidders but car must be picked up within a week of auction close.
