1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300 Cd Description

The last year of production for the legendary W123 iron block diesel. The coupe was blessed with a beautiful body that is quite timeless. This last year saw some real improvements, most notably with the transmission gearing. This enabled far better acceleration in keeping with American roads.
There were only a bit over 1200 made in 1985.
This car had long term ownership for the 27 years in Nebraska and when he relocated to South Carolina. The 2nd owner was quite lavish in renewing all the suspension components and shocks.
I have owned for 3 years in Tennessee and replaced glow plugs, alternator, battery, and normal service and valve adjustments.
I was planning to drive forever and did a countrywide search for over a year. It is the best one I could find as I specifically sought 1985. The paint is original, gleams beautifully, 3-5 mils thick, and no accidents or paintwork ever.
The interior is flawless with no cracks in dash or wood. All rubber and chrome are excellent. We drove the car 17K without issue and there is just an air of coolness to it that is hard to describe.
