1980 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Description

Rather good condition overall, but it does need some TLC. Runs, but not well. New tires, new fuel pump and filter, new master cylinder for clutch. It has one silver dollar size spot of rust on the rear left quarter panel. Front window is cracked. Driver seat is rather worn. Some of the “wood” trim is coming off. Some electronics are not working. Steering wheel has some play in it. Brakes are good. Clutch is good. Shifts well. Drives straight. FYI THE ACTUAL YEAR IS 1983. It is a European VIN and eBay did not recognize it. So I changed the year so it would not require the VIN. The 230E was not offered state side and the car was imported. See the picture of the VIN plate. I hope that is not too confusing. It needs someone who knows these cars and can figure out why it won’t stay running. Thanks for looking.
