1970 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series - 280SE 3.5 Convertible - V8 - A/C - Restored! Description

Symbolic International is pleased to present this immaculate 1970 280SE with the desirable 3.5L V8 engine producing 230hp.This particular example has spent most of its life in sunny Southern California where it has been lovingly cared for by its previous owners. Perhaps its most notable early owner was hit song writer Jeff Barry (think "Leader Of The Pack" and "Chapel Of Love") in the early '70's. Moving forward into the early 90's the car was acquired by renowned Mercedes-Benz specialist...Scott Melnick of Automotive Engineering in Calabasas, CA. While there Scott began an exhaustive cosmetic as well as mechanical restoration bringing this W111 back to showroom condition. It then found its way to a prominent Lawyer in the Beverly Hills area until he parted with it in 2013.
