1988 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series LORINSER Description

Highest Bidder will get this car. Please DO NOT bid if you are not 100% ready to buy and have the funds to purchase.
I will sell the car for whatever the highest bid is so please only bid if you intend on purchasing.
1988 Mercedes-Benz 300CE Lorinser Sowing 60,041 on a working Odometer All factory and completely Stock Has spent its life in Florida and Puerto Rico Clean Carfax Clean Title I bought this car several years ago as a future project, you don't see these 300CE Lorinser's very often, this one is in decent condition and as its always been in FL and PR it has no rust at all, in fact the underneath is in fantastic shape. I have had it in my dry storage for around 4 years I think but I am having to move homes and will no longer be able to store all of my cars so unfortunately I will have to sell this car. It looks like it only has 60k Miles but I cannot 100% Guarantee that these miles are correct as I have not owned it from new, the title is blank where the miles are supposed to go on the title, they usually exempt the miles when cars are over 10 years old in Tennessee. I have a Clean Tennessee Title in my name, I am showing as the second owner, it has a clean carafe and clean auto check.
This car has stood for at least 4 years that I have owned it and it had stood a while when I bought it so it will need to be gone through to make sure all the suspension and brakes work correctly although they seem to work the car has not been driven in years. When I bought it I had my mechanic check it over, do a simple tune up (plugs etc) so it would run to move it, he noted that the shocks looked like they had been recently replaced also. The car starts, runs and drives, the transmission appears to shift good and the engine starts and idles well with no misfires and has good oil pressure on the gauge on the dash. The car warms up and does not get hot so all of the cooling system looks to be ok. There is smoke coming from the rear of the engine that looks like the valve cover gasket is leaking (or something similar) and is dripping onto the exhaust manifold.
The exterior is in fair condition, the car has been repainted at some time in its past and it does look ok, the paint has good luster and shine to it, the door pods are loose both sides and have been stuck back on but would need removing and refining (depending on what you wanted to do with the car I was going to refinish the door pods on both sides) the rear spoiler has pulled up at one side. All of the Original Lorinser wheels are in good shape and there are 2 OEM Lorinser wheel keys in the trunk along with very nice carpet mats. All of the Glass is intact and is crack and Delamination free. The drivers door does have a little sag that might be due to worn hinge pins, I have nave not looked any further at it. The tires are junk, the car has sat so long they are very badly flat spotted and are very dry rotted (this is why I have not driven the car any further.)
The interior is nice for the age of the car, the seats are good with no real damage (these are 30 year old seats so don't expect them to be new), there is a little wear on the drivers seat that also has a little lean to it, it also feels a little loose like something is not bolted in or down right. The dash is nice and straight with no damage, there is some loose trim on the rear C pillar on the passenger side, the car does not leak any water into the cabin and does not smell moldy or have any weird smells. All of the switch gear, windows etc seems to work fine but somehow the horn and rev counter are not working (maybe a fuse ?) The Headlights have been changed out for euro ones, and look way better than the US Spec ones, I don't know if they are wired correctly and the indicator is loose. The sound deadening on the underside of the hood has broken down and will need replacing. There is a Very Old School Stereo system with AMP in the trunk, Very old school and just fits the age of the car, Again I have not tested the system. AC appears to work but its cold here so I cannot vouch for it in hot weather. The door panel on the passenger side has loose vinyl, the leather on the steering wheel is a little dry rotted but not too bad.
I have not driven this car any distance (maybe 10 miles total) so I cannot vouch for the drivability all I have is the physical description that I am giving here. This is not a car that you would be able to jump in and drive today, it looks to be a very cool car but you will have to work on it to make it road ready. It will come with a clean title. I am selling this car 100% AS-IS so please ask all of your questions prior to the auction finishing. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability.
You must pick this car up or arrange shipping from my address. Again I am selling this car,

I do this as I don't really know what the market value is for such a rare car in this kind of condition so I will let the market decide the price. I will commit to sell to the highest bidder so please follow through with the purchase !!
GOOD LUCK, HAPPY BIDDING !!!!!
