1959 Mercedes 220se Cabriolet
128.030.10.9501031
This rare multiple Concours winning automobile was reported as originally owned by the actress Judy Garland. It was later restored by the son of a European Baron, and carefully maintained since entering into the collection of the current owners.
Only 350 Mercedes 220se Cabriolets were hand built each year from1958-1960. The old-world craftsmanship eloquently pays tribute to the grand open Mercedes of the 1930's, without neglecting the demands of contemporary travel. It is equipped with a 2.2-liter overhead-cam 6-cylinder engine, mechanical fuel injection, and four-speed manual gearbox.Top speeds of 100 mph could be attained.
The superb coachwork with thick multi layer padded top, rich Roser leather, wool carpets, and bountiful Macassar ebony wood allows passengers to tour in style and comfort. The 220SE Cabriolet looks much like a pre-war Roadster. Its rear seat can accommodate two passengers or be folded flat to create additional luggage space.
The car’s odometer is only showing approximately 35,000 miles. It is complete with various owner’s manuals, factory tool rolls, service manuals and German build sheet.
