Mercedes 1977 300D
1977 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description
I have a 1977 Mercedes Benz 300D with a 5 cylinder diesel engine and an automatic transmission. The car has been off the road since 2015 and has been sitting, has original miles of 092,313. Was an Oregon car that ended up in Vermont, was driven minimally for a couple years then I ended up it. It's overall a pretty solid car and could go back on the road without too much work. Has a couple small rust spots underneath and on one fender, otherwise pretty solid, it does start easily by bypassing the glow plug relay, or using a shot of ether. It also must be shut off from under the hood, so needs a solenoid replaced. Once running it sounds great, nice condition, exhaust work is solid, shifts smoothly. Both back tires are totally flat, not sure if they will even hold air. It comes with 4 spare tires you can put on if need be, the tires on the car are shot. The sunroof leaks sometimes. Has been sitting for awhile, so consider this a project to refurbish, or a nice parts car, the drive train is in nice shape and mileage is believed to be original. This car will need work to get back on the road and be inspected, or the right person this would be a great project. I have too many others to fix, so this needs to go.
This car will need to be towed home, please do not bid if you intend to drive this car home, has been sitting for 2 years and is not roadworthy.
