1991 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Description

This 1991 Mercedes 500SL is a real head turner. It is a low mileage vehicle with only 68k miles on the clock. Owned by a friend of the family who recently passed away. I took ownership of the vehicle a few months ago and have spent that time upgrading some of the tired parts. I have replaced the front strut mounts, oil pressure sending unit, all spark plugs, both distributor caps, rotors, rotor arms, antenna mast, cam shaft seals, hood liner/insulation, and various interior and exterior pieces. Registration is paid until 2020, and just passed a California smog check a couple weeks ago. Clean title in hand! No doubt, one of the cleaner 1991 cars around and almost and guaranteed to appreciate over the coming years. Great time to buy in to one of these classics!
The car is sitting on iconic 18" AMG monoblock wheels. 245/40/18 front / 275/35/18 rear. Tires with 80% tread remaining. The red factory hard top really gives the car an exotic look. It is hard to believe it was made almost 30 years ago. As with most cars that are 3 decades old, it is not perfect. It does have various things that you would expect like rock chips w and without small touch up paint spots, scratches, seat wear, blemishes on wheels, etc. The front bumper has been repainted. The air conditioning is not working and I did not investigate to see why. I have not removed the hard top to check condition or functionality of the canvas top below. I do have the original hard top stand and cover as well. It allows you to roll the top around on wheels.Located Near Disneyland. Come by and take a look.
I have been getting a lot of international interest on this car. I do not mind selling to an over seas buyer, but I would require the actual buyer or their representative be present. I will accept payment in cash or cashiers check from a recognizable bank.
