[isdntekvideo] Here is a 1991 Mercedes 500sl Convertible. The car has 177k on the odometer and has been parked as you see it in these photos for approximately 6 years. I purchased this car off a gentleman I know who parked these cars and never got around to doing anything with them. As this car sits, the engine turns over but it will not start. Aparently it drove about 2 years ago, but seems now something needs to be attended to. Comes with factory key.
Exterior is basically faded all around as you see in the photos. The body however is perfectly straight. All the trim is there and in good shape. No rust on the car at all. Convertible top cloth is in decent shape however the plastic windows are badly faded and need to be replaced. Wheels are original and chrome looks ok. Headlights and tail lights look decent. Please see my video above and take a close look at the photos, keep in mind the car was never cleaned up.
The interior is complete. Seats look ok and carpeting is in need of a cleaning but should clean up ok. Had a sun shade protector on for years which saved the interior for the most part. Dash has no cracks. Take a close look at the photos as they tell the story!
Mechanically, we hooked a battery up to the car and could not get the car to start. All the electronics seemed to work fine but it turned over and did not fire. So possibly the fuel system needs service?? Not sure, selling "as is"
