Beautiful Classic White 1990 mercedes-benz 560 SEL In Excellent Condition
1990 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series 4-DOOR Description
FIRST....IMPORTANT.... MILES: The odometer shows 68138, but that is NOT the true miles! 157,900 is an estimate! How and why? ... According to Carfax, the last time this Benz was serviced on the records in Oct. 2014, it had 151,904 miles! Before that, it shows, according to the inspections every 2 years, the mileage went up 4,000 every 2 years (notice on the Carfax I am posting!) I bought this car on June 2017. So, for the 3 years since 2014, I simply added 6,000 miles, following the same pattern! ..... And I have NOT driven this any more than 10 miles since then!! You will see the detail on the history paragraph!... I am NOT a dealer!!
For me, and most likely for you after you see this VERY ATTRACTIVE BENZ, the true miles even at 68K would not be a surprise! This CLASSIC looks stunning in everyway, inside and outside, I would say in "pristine" cosmetic condition! So, whoever owned it before me, certainly babied it, I am sure always garaged, the paint and leather condition shows this fact!.. This 560 SEL, the year model before the last one with this classic style, is smooth and powerful, and easily can be an everyday work horse!
Dry climate California car its whole life, no accidents, not a spec of rust on this car ever! It is factory white with cream beige leather interior, power seats, windows, AC, sunroof, all work properly, both interior and exterior paint show like new, a very clean car, no scratches, no dents, no dings, no tears, no cracks in dash, she is IMMACULATE!... AC blows cold, it runs and drives exceptionally well. Rear tires look new!
The paint is absolutely flawless, no fading anywhere (as I indicated earlier, always garaged), all the chromes are there in excellent condition, no discoloring on the chromes and trims, even the front and rear bumpers are spotless. The wheels have been upgraded, all the glass, all the way around are great, no chips or cracks or scratched, same are door handles! According to the previous person (the dealer from whom I bought it), he had taken out a few scratches and couple dings to make the exterior perfect, without disturbing the originality and integrity of the factory paint! The dealer also stored this car indoors along with his other classics, and actually drove it frequently before putting it up for sale on eBay.
Inside, the leather, as you see is in perfect condition, even the driver side. Door panels, center console, the entire dash, carpet, headliner are all in their original and perfect shape, no cracks on the dash or scratched on the wood panels! This beautiful car is eye catching in every way. Again, the previous California owner gets the credit, not me, not the dealer! I just pampered what I got!... The car runs very smooth and very strong and yet, very quiet, just what you expect from this legendary 5.6 liter powerful engine. The miles, even at 160K, would not bother the longevity of this engine and the whole overall car! This engine should go until 500K miles, of course directly depending on how it has been taken care of. Looking at the cosmetic condition, especially the driver side, you can only come up with one conclusion: my Benz has been VERY WELL-KEPT ITS ENTIRE LIFE! Cornering, suspension and brakes all work with confidence, as you expect from this TOP OF THE LINE BENZ!
HISTORY: I live out of the U.S. For years I had been looking for this body style, preferably the last 2 years, 1990-91, and definitely white color, and definitely with cream beige leather. Obviously the mechanical condition as well as the cosmetic conditions were of my concern too, I never recondition or repair any cars that I like to buy. My desired cars must ALL be in their ORIGINAL factory conditions, all stock. I did not necessarily cared for the mileage, as long as I felt the car had not been abused! ... Although I live abroad and visit the U.S. couple time a year, BUT I am a "car guy", and still the urge made me continue searching for this Benz on eBay from overseas! For me this particular SEL was ideal, and that's how and why I bought it. The selling dealer was not in California, so I had it shipped to my address in Orange County, and planned it so it arrives while I am at home. Upon delivery, I noticed exactly what all the pictures had indicated, no negative surprises, the dealer had been honest in describing it and worked honorably! I took delivery, drove it a little (no license plate), and arranged taking it to the storage facility (mainly for antiques and classics, my car seemed to be the least expensive parked there!!) My beautiful 560 has been parked indoors AND covered at that storage facility ever since (June 2017)! Although I had made another visit last year, but had no time to drive, inspect, or register it in my name! I always thought I would do it at the next trip with more time to also drive and enjoy my BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC!
Now, it is time for me to depart from my sought after Benz, along with MY OTHER CLASSIC that is also listed here! I really feel sad not to have had the chance to enjoy it, and also feel uncomfortable to see it just parked, untouched nor driven, just a shame! In addition, I'm paying storage fees every month for both, and I would not mind at all the monthly fees, BUT as long as I keep using and enjoying this piece of engineering! I don't have that chance. So the logical thing is to let another LUCKY BUYER own and enjoy it on a daily basis. As long as my baby finds a good home, I'll be happier! Anyway, this is a business decision, not emotional one!
As I indicated earlier, the clear title is signed off to me, but I have not transferred it to my name yet! I'm not sure how this works for either a California or out of state buyer! I do own other cars too parked in the same warehouse, but not for sale, except these two! I am 70 years young! and love of cars will never leave me alone! I prefer to drive my own cars while visiting my home rather than renting and driving others'!
PLEASE respect my limited time in the country, respect your own word and honor your commitment when you bid on my car! I am not in a position to keep listing my beautiful classic cars! I will arrive in the U.S. on 29th, available to let you inspect my car on 4/30 and 5/1-2. If you have any questions, please ask. I have described my car to the best of my knowledge, given you all the information I have, sincerely! If you feel the need to inspect the car BEFORE BIDDING, please contact me, and for those who are far away, then trust your own eyes and experience and fate, just as I did buying all my cars through eBay, AND sold the same way! I have yet to be wronged by any seller, or yet to have wronged any byers! ... PLEASE only bid if you ARE SURE, and have all the INTENTIONS TO OWN MY VERY EYE-CATCHING BENZ! These legendary Mercedes Benz will only GO UP in value, they are investments, yet give pride of ownership and joy of driving them! I do have more pictures if you wish to see more. Just ask!.......All these pictures are from 2 years ago taken by the dealer I bought it from, all presenting my Benz the way it currently is.
