1972 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description

1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL
I have decided to offer this 350sl for sale due to the fact that I have too many other classic cars that I enjoy more than this one and need the space. In the timethat I have owned this car I have only put 180 miles on it, the odometer reads 36,482. I think this is a fine example of the R107, it is a very early 1st year model body #480. The combination of the small euro bumpers, Astral Silver Paint with the blue convertible top and interior makes this a real eye catcher. I was able to source some 16" Chrome Centra Wheels that I put on the car with brand new Hankook tires. The 14" Hubcaps and Steel Wheels with nice tires areavailable ifpreferred I can put them back on. (See one pic with hubcaps) I also added some custom fitfloor mats fromcoco-mats that really compliment the interior. The aftermarket radio was in the car when I purchased and do not have the original radio. The a/c blows but is not cold, I have never had it charged or looked at by a mechanic as I only drive on nice evenings. I also noticed the tempgauge is notcurrently reading a temp, I am unsure why. The oil pressure works, the speedometer works, the odometer & trip work, and the rpmgauge works as do the headlights, taillights, fog lights, and turn signals & horn. The convertible top is in good shape for its age, the rear plastic window has some discoloration. The windows are manual and work smooth, Ive read that some of the early 350sl's did not have a passenger side mirror and this one does not which I think is quite cool. The hardtop is included and is in greatcondition.Theheadrests are pictured, I just like the low back look without them. The trunk and spare tire area is clean and free of rust as is the rest of the car. The engine oil and filter are fresh and the front shocks are new. I havenoticed the transmission leaks a little fluid in the garage when its not used much, as do most of my classics that sit too much.***Please serious buyers only, feel free to contact me for other Q?'s***Clean Title In-hand, will assist with shipping as neededtags: 280sl, 300sl, porsche, 911, 912, 450sl, 500sl, 560sl, rare, classic car
