I took this car in as a project, I currently have a 300sel and was thinking I may want a V8. I have one too many cars and really don’t have the time to keep going on this. There are a few things that will still need to be done and I have the parts for some of the items:
Idle is high around 1100 rpm. Depending on the interest- I will continue to work on this so it may be fixed by the time someone takes it home.
Driver Seat is torn and will need to be replaced- other seats are fine with minimal wear.
Wood- some pieces need replacement- this is a California car so it has seen some sun. I have some replacement pieces available.
Fuel sending unit- gauge can sometimes flutter which probably means the unit needs cleaning. Depending on your skill level this can be done on your own.
Suspension- I suspect the lower ball joints need replacing. There is some noises over bumps at low speeds. No noise on the highway.
Window regulators. They do work but can be clunky which indicates they are beginning to slip. I have the replacement parts if needed.
