1979 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series Description

I'm selling this great vehicle for a client. Please allow ample time for any questions, as it will require a slight delay while I contact him. This is a classic maple yellow with Tobacco MB Tex Interior, 1979 Mercedes Benz 450 SL convertible with a hardtop and softtop included. Nearly all of this vehicle is authentic and original. 2 tops or as it should be- as a convertible, this car will draw attention.
Numerous features include 4.5L V8 engine with automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, automatic climate control and newer tires,8 cylinder, 275 ci, rear wheel drive, left hand driver, 2 door automatic andcurrently has 91,405 miles. The car is 95% original to manufacture date. Owner does not have original manuals or maintenance records.Only 8,184 units were built in 1979.
Now, the not-so-perfect details:
The soft top has a slight tear but owner was quoted $300 to replace. Car is drivable and has a new battery. Please note pictures for location of minor rust. (see pics). Front door and hood not opening. electric windows need switches.This car is all original, with the exception of the radio, which was replaced when it was first purchased and is not currently working. There is work to be done to bring it back to it's original feel, but a great project at a great deal. Please note issues in condition box. It was purchased in Rhode Island, where there were not titles issued if the vehicle is older than 2000. Seller will provide bill of sale.
