1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series DT Description

Mercedes-Benz 300-Series turbo diesel. This car was built in Germany and imported directly to Georgia where it spent all of it's life. It is in RUST FREE condition. Runs and drives great, awesome ride starts and runs like a dream. It's currently registered and insured and I do drive it occasionally. Engine has had it's regular service, oil changes etc, and the transmission was rebuilt approximately 20k miles ago. I have a few service records on the original maintenance booklet that comes with the car as well as the original owners manual. Interior is in excellent condition and a non-smoker car, floor pans are rust free, carpet and rugs in great shape. This is the 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine known for is reliability and longevity. They are awesome, will run in any weather or just about any harsh conditions and are good for over 500k miles without breaking a sweat. Almost everything in the car works, only thing which doesn't work I think is the cruise control. It has A/C (converted to R134A, power windows, passenger mirror is power mirror, sunroof works (NO leaks). All the tires are in excellent shape, brakes are in very good condition, suspension is solid and smooth. The body has some dings and damage (see pics). The driver side fender and hood (grill is the original grill) were replaced from a fender bender that looked worst than it actually was. It could use a good paint job and general cleanup but that's about it. It's a great starting point for restoration. You can drive this car anywhere they are desert runners than can go the distance, reliable and fuel efficient. Please ask any questions before bidding.
