1991 Mercedes 190E 3.2 liter 5 Speed Manual
1991 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series Description
1991 Mercedes 190e, this car is very unique and was built to resemble the 2.3 liter 16 valve race Mercedes of the day. The chassis is a 1991 190e with 220,xxx miles on it. The engine is a Mercedes M104 straight six with roughly 170,000 miles on it and is arguably the best Mercedes straight six ever made. The transmission is a 5 speed manual from a 1993 Mercedes 190e, with 140,xxx miles on it and shifts fantastic no grinds or crunches. Has a brand new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing and slave cylinder. The engine is run by a fully programmable Megasquirt ECM and allows the operator to have real time feedback and make changes on the go. The front rotors are brand new Brembo rotors and the backs are 1994 Mercedes E320 sloted discks. The car runs, rides and stops superb, not to mention the cornering. The paint is checking in some places and the front arm rest are delaminating and there are a few small dents in the front drivers side fender. Other than that the car is fantastic and superb to drive. I also have a clean car fax with the car and many years of detailed service records included.
Some of the upgrades are as follows
-16v steering box
-Bilstien shocks and struts
-Vogtland springs
-Euro headlights
-Alpine stereo and infinity sub woofer
