1982 Mercedes-Benz 300CDT Coupe
1982 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description
. YOU BID YOU BUY!!!***I have this cute little coupe up for auction. Took this car in on trade for work done on another vehicle. Had a blown engine that we replaced with used. The used engine has less miles than the car (engine has 100K). I drove the car for about a month to make sure of the car. Mechanically the car starts, runs & drives well. AC has been converted to R134 & is fully charged. Sunroof, all power windows, power locks, lights work. What does not is the cruise - when engaged it surges. The power antenna does not work. At highway speed it drives well but should get some new tires (although they do have plenty of tread on them). All suspension has been checked. One of the idler arms & drag link were replaced. It does have a small oil leak at the injection pump.
On the exterior, all the top surfaces look like original paint. I know the RT side has been painted as well as the LT quarter. Not sure if it was rust or damage. Looks like it was done a while ago. All bumpers are all good shape with no damage. The black textured parts on the bumpers are undamaged, but look faded. There is a dent on the RT door about the size of a silver dollar. The nameplate on the RT side of the deck lid is wrong - should say turbo diesel. The window trim & side mldgs are all there & undamaged, but need a good polishing.
The inside carpet is good & there are no cracks in the top dash pad. It is cracked on the pad that is right below the ignition lock cylinder. The front seats are all good except the area exposed when you flip the seat forward. The glove box lid is a little wonky but opens & closes. The top of the rear seat back has some cracks in it but are minor. It is missing the rear seat ash tray. Left rear interior quarter trim panel has pulled away and needs to be repaired (see pic).
I have tried to be as critical as possible to have you informed as much as possible. This can serve you as a good everyday runner or you can take what I've done to the next step & restore the car - it is very solid car for that type of endeavor.
