1981 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description

I am offering a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300CD which is in excellent condition. I am the second owner and I purchased this beautiful car from the original owner in the fall of 2008. The car runs and drives like new and I have invested several thousands of dollars in this car to keep it in the exceptional condition it is in today. I have kept the car in the garage and did not drive it in rain or inclement weather. Having said this, he car is not in perfect condition but is as about as close as you can get. I have kept meticulous maintenance records. I have listed the improvements I have made on the car along with the things that need to be done. Please read my terms regarding a warranty. I require a $500, on-refundable deposit within 72 hours at the end of the auction. At time of delivery, will require a cashier’s check for the remaining balance.

Improvements, aintenance, etails:

The dash is not cracked and the antenna works correctly.

The shifting bushings have been replaced.

I have had extensive work done on the climate control.

Installed a new windshield.

Installed new headlights.

Installed new wood console panel.

Repaired window switches.

Serviced transmission.

Inspected and repaired vacuum leaks.

Installed glow plugs and injectors.

Installed motor mounts.

Adjusted valves.

Installed all body side molding.

Installed new leather on front seats.

Installed new carpet and carpet pads for front and back floors.

Replaced heater core.

Replaced water pump.

Installed window strips.

Repaired work on radio and speakers (which are original)

Installed center console window switches.

Installed right window regulator.

Custom floor mats.

Replaced AC drive belts and pulleys and recharged AC.

Installed rear drivers side window bushings.

Stripped and sanded car and repainted. – The original color in 2012.

The seat covers pads; carpet and pads were installed in 2012.

New battery purchased and installed in 2015.

There has never been any rust on this car before I owned it and now.

No motor or engine work has been performed other than minor things mentioned.

Installed an in block heater. Has a plug to connect to during colder temperatures and warm the diesel.

I have properly maintained the oil and filter changes on regular intervals.

Tires are in excellent condition.

Gets approximately 20-22 miles per gallon.

Things I know need work:

Sunroof opens and closes as it should however, t does not line up properly.

It does leak oil when sitting. It has since I have owned it and it is not any worse.

Driver’s side rear window (seat belt) enclosure needs re-gluing.
