I've decided to sell my 280CE, this car is one of a kind.If you know anything about Mercedes w123's you know the rarity of the fuel injected gas model, let alone in this color/condition.
Car History-This is predominately a Northern Arizona car, fortunate enough to never have seen snow - and it shows. She has been maintained/registered here in Arizona all her life.I hold a clean title in my name, only taking her out when time allows. Not being driven only on the weekends. The car spent most if not all its life covered in a garage, leaving the interior and body in near mint condition.
Exterior-As one would expect there are a few very small scuffs and scratches here and there, but nothing major. The clear coating has faded off on the trunk and the roof but everything still holds a great shine.Thistle Green is the original paint with matching vintage hubcaps.A prime example of an un-altered, un-molested, and rust-free Mercedes. The car has the highly sought after and visually appealing hubcaps — personally one of my favorite styles. She’s meant to be driven. Turns heads everywhere.
Interior-The interior is EXCELLENT, as when the car was first purchased lamb skin covers have covered the seats, only taken off for the selling the vehicle for this auction.Odor free, very clean, and quite pristine. The wood trim are in outstanding condition, usually never found in this condition.Fully functioning Becker Europa Radio puts out sound and gets tons of stations. Headliner is in great shape, although the headliner in the back will eventually need to be retucked.Power windows/ Sunroof work, but haven't been used often, as this car has WORKING AC!The car comes with vintage tool kit ($$) along with the original Mercedes trunk matt — both in very good condition.
Mechanically-This car starts, runs, drives and handles fantastic. It has been driven regularly, but sparingly since new, and has never sat for any extended period of time.I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere; it runs excellent on the Highway.Lower speeds under 5mph you sometimes have to flutter the gas peddle to keep the car idle.. this is due to the idle needing to be adjusted. The handling is tight, the transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes stop on a dime.Runs free from any noises or squeaks.
With proper care this car will appreciate in value.I would be keeping it, but just don't have the the time to drive it and keep up on it as much as it should.I’m hoping to find a new home that suits this car.
Note: All bids are final, buyer is responsible for fulfilling deposit requirement.Full payment before the release of the car.Ican help arrange shipment, send more photos or videos of the car in action!
