1969 Mercury Grand Marquis Description

This body style is much harder tofind than most other Mercury's or other convertibles.statistics: 18,302 hard tops and 2,319 convertibles built and soldoriginally for$4,107..To find a survivor like this with its colorand itsvery good interior is RARE.

This lovely car belongs to a personal friend who's father wasn'tthe original owner buthe owned this car for 22 years. Upon the passing of his father, my friendbecame the beneficiary of the car. Its hasn't been an easy decision for my friend to offer this carfor sale however he has come to reality that it has to be SOLD. Its inconvenient to store the car in rented storage and honestly themaintenance and restoration of thethe car is not his expertise.

The overall cosmetic condition is FAIRthat clearly shows many necessary restoration needs. There is obvious body work that was done on the passenger rear quarter. Its missing chrome in some places. The ragtop is in good condition and wont need replacement for years. The interior is in very good condition. All the glass and mirrors arein good condition. The car runs amazingly smooth. I was very pleased with the acceleration and suspension over the road. The car is equipped witha factory 429 cubic inch engine with a two barrel carb. The motor is quiet and transmission shifts perfectly.(transmission was rebuilt 2k miles ago.) The factory air conditioning does not work. The headlights mechanical doors do not work, he has been opening and closing manually. The gas gauge does not work. Original AM/FM radio, static. Super cool steeringwheel rim horn; never seen one like it before.

This lovely car has been cared for by its prior owners and will look great in your own garage. Thanks for looking.
