Up for sale, a low mileage,1969 Marquis. Very good to excellent condition inside and out. Here is what's good.Other than a small tear in carpetby the parking brake pedal the interior is great. No rips in seats, no cracks in dash and no hanging roof liner.Instrument cluster works fine, speed, fuel temp, oil. The under-side of car looks like it came out of the factory last year and speaks to authenticity of the mileage. (see pics,) The engine runs smooth withno misses, no smoke, no ticking or knocking. No tar inside engine(see valve cover pic.) Engine has powerand moves this car surprisingly well. Front suspension has been serviced. The upper and lower control arm bushings rubber was cracking and were replaced along with front springs. Rear springs have also been replaced. Car has new tires and new shocks all around. Heat and AC work but I noticed that compressor knocks a bit.Hide-away lights work and hold closedfor about 12 hrs. Now, here is what's not so good.Left rear side of the bumper has a small dent in it. The driver door has few small paint chips. The power seat switch knob is missing, but the switch/seat works. The gear shift has to be pushed up so the engine can be started. I was told it was common issue andhas to do with park neutral switch and/or something being loose in steering column. The paint is a bit weak. Radio and clock do not work. Few scratches and such as with any older car.But overall it is a very good car and a great weekend cruiser.
