1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 GT Description

Had the car since 1980. Was fully restored about 5 years ago inside and out including engine and drive train. I only put a little over 1000 miles on it. I really can't drive it comfortably anymore. This is a rare car built in Philadelphia Pa. Only 2,853 of these cars were built that year. The option package that makes it that rare is :It is an XR-7 model, having upgraded trim interior and dash / console option. The GT option has the high performance 390 4V GT heads, 4 speed close ratio transmission, posi rear. In the 80's when I started the restoration, the 4 piston Kelsey Hayes front disk brakes were troublesome, so I converted the front to a 69 Mustang / Cougar brake system, with proportioning valve. The car hasn'tbeen registeredfor 2 years, however it has been run and locally driven, and kept on a battery tender.Serious bidders are welcomed to see the car in person....you will notbe dissapointed
