1964 Mercury Marauder Z Code Parts Car
1964 Mercury Marauder Description
1964 Mercury Marauder parts car. It was originally a 4 barrel 390 car, ut there is no engine or transmission. I purchased this car with the intention of making a clone of the 1964 Bill Stroppe Nascar Marauders. Before I got it the car sat for a few years with water leaking inside so there are rust holes in the floor and trunk. The frame is solid. The interior was beyond repair so I pulled most of it out. There are some seat covers, he rear seat frame, nd the rear door panels. Front Door panels are missing.
The good news is almost all of the trim is there (I think it is all there but some of the rear window trim was off the car and in the trunk when I purchased it and I did not inventory it). The bumpers are not rusty. The passenger side marauder emblem has the flag pole missing. There are two dashboards, he original is in poor condition but the black one in the pictures is pretty nice. The right front fender had a ding at one time.
If you are restoring a 64 marauder you know this trim is hard to find and this would be a good parts car. Even though there is rust, he fenders and quarter panels are straight (there is rust in the quarter panels). The car rolls and steers but no brakes or motor. The transmission in the interior picture is not included with the sale. Email me if you have questions or need to see any other pictures.
It is located in Santa Rosa, A. The car is out of the California DMV system. The original owner passed away I have the California title and bills of sale from the owners estate. I will provide a bill of sale and the title to the winning bidder.
Although I've described this car as a "parts car", t could be restored. That is what I was going to do with it until I started on a different project.
