This Merc is straight. The body panels and fit are perfect. The Merc has a working power folding top which has been chopped 3 ½ inches. The grill shell was molded and the hood corners rounded. Frenched ’52 Merc headlight rings are recessed above the ’55 DeSoto grill bar. The stainless side trim is from a 50’s Buick and the bubble skirts were modified to fit around the side trim. The door handles were removed and are activated by remote control. The rear end has ’54 Merc taillight lenses frenched into the 51’s quarters and the trunk was shaved and filled. The interior has Cadillac seats covered in white leather and the door panels have wood grain inserts as well as the center console. The dash sports digital gauges and has a tilt column with a custom white leather wrapped steering wheel. The drive train consists of a 514 cubic inch Cadillac engine with a custom built two four-barrel intake and a 700R4 transmission. The body is painted white pearl with a purple side insert. The stock Merc 15” wheels wear 22570R15 wide white walls with a choice of two different wheel covers. An allowance to the selling price will be negotiated for repairing minor damage to the convertible top and replacing a defective left side convertible top cylinder.
This car is being sold due to a death in the family.
