1956 Mercury Medalist Four Door Price Reduced, Motivated Seller
1956 Mercury Medalist Description
For sale is a 1956 Mercury Medalist. This is a four door sedan in decent shape. A previous owner had started restoration on it at some time. As you can see in the photos it is a very restorable car. The photos show the driver's door which is always the worse shape from Ohio winters. As you can see it does have some surface rust but not much rust out if any. The bottoms of all of the doors are very good. The front floor needs patched as does the lower rear quarters and bottoms of the front fenders. This body style is the rarest of the 1956 Mercury production according to the table of production for 1956 Mercury's included in the photos. It was produced from beginning of new production in '56 till Nov. of the same year. This is roughly a four month period. It is also one of the more rare color combinations. The seats need reupholstered but as you can see in the photo the dash, steering wheel and column is in incredible condition. Working condition of the electrics such as radio. heater and wipers are unknown. The windshield is cracked but a 1956 Ford sedan windshield may fit. The rest of the glass is good. The bumpers are okay, not perfect, but would be okay for a driver. There is NO engine which would have been a 312 Y-Block. A 292 bare block is included. The automatic transmission, drive shaft and third member are still in the car. Mileage states 52K, unknown if accurate. The dash and steering wheel alone could be worth $1000 to someone restoring one. $200 paid to PayPal within 24 hours of purchase. Balance upon pickup of car within 30 days. Loading help available.
