1968 Mercury Monterey 4-Door Hardtop Sedan for sale. No reserve - 3 Day Auction - Highest Bidder Drives it Home!!!
Originally bought this 2 years ago with the intent on painting and finishing the restoration and taking to car shows. Now need to sell to avoid bankruptcy but not in hurry and will not take less than what its worth. This car is hard to find in this condition and I'm looking for someone who appreciates the Classic Sedan of the 60's. Has one of the longest wheelbase length of any factory made car in U.S. history.
This car is immaculate inside and the engine runs perfect. No work needed to engine except you can add a heater/ac core. This car is equipped to run AC. Drives, Brakes, and Handles perfect. Engine has new intake manifold, carburetor, and air filter added by previous owner is what I was told. Small minor tear on lower right corner of drivers door vinyl about 2".
Exterior would need to have some minor body work to take out small dings and surface rust specks. Recommend new paint job for entire car to make it a show piece. Tires, rims, original hubs all in good condition. This car needs lead additive for best performance.

There is some surface rust, but not to the extent to where it is flaking off or peeling or in any way affecting the integrity of the body.
Sorry, but Ebay for whatever reason is not allowing me to delete any pics in order to add pics of the undercarriage. If someone can help me with this I would be very appreciative.
