1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 GT Description

This is a very rare cat! 1 of 7 builtthis way!, two tone, 390 GT, factory 9", auto trans, tilt away steering, ps, pb, ect... I have the deluxe marti report to verify this is a two tone car, which means it has a factory painted top instead of vinyl. Very nice car to restore!, clean straight body! not full of filler!, there are two small spots I found with a magneton each side of therear quarters about the size of a golf ball behind the wheel wells, the pinch welds on the bottom of the doorsare all nice, it has been stored for years, the hood does have a hole cut in it below the boss 9 scoop. The front drivers side fender has been replaced but there is no damage or signs of an accident.I have a lot of parts to go with, big blockdrive shaft, radiator, motor mounts, transmount ect.I have all the original interior,door panels are nice, nice dash,comes with aC7ME-A block date code 8L is all I can make out.030 390 GT motor, forged flat tops,short block will probably need rebuilt but rod and mains look nice,gt heads need rebuiltI have bothgt exhaust manifolds, S intake,I have a correct Rug C close ratio top loader that can go with, probably needs rebuilt, no shifter or bell. It will need front floor pan and torque box work my guess is leaking heater core,rear pans aresolid, I do have the new front and fullpans and torque boxes. It has clutch pedals in it as it was converted over to a 4 speed many years ago, it will come with the automatic console and shifter.The rear wing has been removed and does not go with the car also the wheels do not go with it, itwill come with rollers. I have applied for the elite marti report which may show this cougar as one of one?it should be herenext couple month, the new owner will get the report when I receive it. Extra parts included ( taillights, headlights, shifters,66/67, misc. parts,ect..I might be able to fit everything in the car for shipping? and I can assist in loading.
