1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS with Very Rare Factory Performance Options, in near showroom condition all around, (even underneath where most "mint" cars show up poorly compared to this car - see photos). This is a one family owned car, and was Special Factory Ordered with not only the usual options, but with PerformanceSuspension with upgraded front sway bar and springs, and the addition of a Rear Sway Bar that practically no other Merc's have. In addition, this car has the very desirable Traction-Lok Limited Slip Differential. That's not all ! There's also a rare Performance 3.08 Rear Axle Ratio (a vast majority of your Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic's have a ho-hum leisurely 2.73 ratio). Of course, due to the Traction-Lok Differential, a conventional Full-Size Spare Tire is mandatory. Another rarely seen option is a factory installed Engine Block Immersion Heater (thathas never been used). The car has 80,000 miles on it (strictly all summer vacation miles), never winter driven, never been in an accident or flood. Always garaged and it shows: the original Rose Quartz Metallic Clearcoat paint still has it's mirror finish and the clearcoat is near perfect (always carefully hand washed - no swirl marks ever!). No door dings either. All of the chrome is virtually perfect too. The vinyl top is perfect and is still supple (not stiff or brittle), stitching is as new. Most importantly, there is zero rust anywhere. Genuine Ziebart rustproofing was applied shortly after the car was purchased new, and it really makes a difference. The interior is flawless as well, no visible wear or discoloration anywhere. The inside of the trunk is likewise like new, the carpeting in there has no stains or damage of any sort.An aftermarket alarm system (Fox) was installed since new, and works fine. The car starts/runs well, no leaks, no strange noises from engine/trans/chassis,The only exterior cosmetic issue is a scratch on the left front fender. The a/c system currently blows warm, but the compressor spins ok (maybe just needs a recharge). One of the rear power window motors is inoperative and the gear shift indicator needle reads incorrectly. And although the exhaust system is quiet, it does need to be replaced (a golden opportunity to add duals).Everything else works fine, power door locks, power seats, lights, etc, even the power antenna !The emission controls have never been tampered with, and there was Never any check engine light problems.Aside from it's few imperfections, it looks very close to the day it first rolled off the assembly line. This particular Grand Marquis is different from all the others, it options endow it with the performance of a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.Feel free to message me with any questions.Payments: $500 Deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of auction close.Balance due within 7 days of auction close.
