SURPRISE! 1967 Manual 3 speed Cougar but in beautiful 1968 "NORDIC BLUE"
1967 Mercury Cougar Description
Opened the door & SURPRISE!
The Color Code "D" Beautiful NORDIC BLUE on a 1967 Cougar
I recently purchased this 1967 Cougar locally and quickly without knowing the VIN & Door Tag. In good conscious could not resto mod it after finding out that Nordic Blue was available for 1968 not 1967 (Helpful Update by gracious Cougar Fans: Nordic Blue was made available mid-year for 1967 production). Not only is Nordic Blue gorgeous, but only about 4% of 1967 Cougars managed to be painted in this color but how many have survived? Marti Auto Works Deluxe Report attached in photos. This manual 3 speed 289 runs but has been sitting for a while so I would not drive it home. Looks straight but has its 50+ years of bumps repaired & primered less than perfectly. The 52 code means it was sold in Los Angeles (LA) and it stayed local in Ridgecrest, Rosamond then Lancaster. All dry weather towns near Mojave Desert just out of LA County and now located in Bakersfield, CA. Tires are virtually new. Starting off with low price to get bidding going. If reserve is not met, I will have painted to original color with other updates to best match original condition (headrests may not be original for 67 but think they would look great in the light blue vinyl & a Tremec 5 speed & an under dash A/C...ok, I should stop).**PLEASE NOTE**The 1968 XR7 is pictured only for the example of the beautiful Nordic Blue color & not for sale in this ad. A $500 deposit will be required. On Jul-09-19 at 06:01:04 PDT, seller added the following information:REMOVED RESERVE&I hope the new owner is passionate to finish it right.
