1965 Mercury Colony Park Description

This is a running and driving car that was purchased from a lady in CA. Her husband used it on the beaches when he went with friends. The car was bought by a collector that is into wagons. He previously bought the identical one to this. The first 65 Merc Colony Park was restored by our company and is beautiful. He thought about the fact of having two and decided to sell this one to have room to purchase one he did not already have. This 65 Mercury is solid and presents it self has original with a few upgrades. The original non power brakes were upgraded to power booster and dual brake cylinder. A Summit brand 4 barrel carburetor was add by previous owner. The air cleaner was changed but the original one is in the back. The exhaust appears to be newer. Nothing was done to car here at our resto shop in Cookeville TN other store it and run the car while waiting its turn in line. In the pictures I show the condition of car. The motor needs some tuning has it runs rich. The kick down for trans needs to be modified in length to be hooked up. The wheels and tires appear to be very low mileage and the car looks good with magnum wheels. The exterior paint shows is age has well as the carpet. There is no third row seating and the previous owner used the well has an ice box for refreshments for his pals. The seats and door panels are in good shape. The body is void of rust. the back gate panel shows some rust. there is some paint peeling by back pillar and the aluminum is starting to deteriorate. This car could be restored or driven with patina it has. The vehicle is located in Cookeville TN and can be shown anytime. The last picture shows the the other Colony Park that was restored for reference only. This car is in better shape now than the one we started with. Big, cool, rare, cruisers. the pictures were taken in the shop has there were a few days of rain during scheduled photo. I do have some of when it was purchased outside from a couple years ago.
