This is a 100% rust free survivor which to me years of searching to find. I purchased this car from the original family that had owned it since day1. The car came out of the family garage in Oregonwere it had sat since about 1995 (after the female owner had passed). The car wasa surprise for my parents who came from Greece in 1955 and had purchased a car just like this one. I did modify the front brakes by replacing the drum for disc brakes and the single reservoir for a dual system. I have saved every parts and it is included with the sale.
As you can see in the pictures the carhas anear perfect body(there is small crease passenger side near the rear tire)The interior is amazing for its age with no rips, tears or separation of material. The 65 year old carpet is not great and should be replaced to match the condition of the rest of the car. The motor runs but you get blow by from the breather tube after the car has been driven for about 15 Minutes. I told that this is expected but I don't like it. The transmission shifts fine and does not hesitate at all. I do have a noise between the transmission and the engine which I believe is the flex plate. Itsnoticeable at and idle but quitter under a loador when in gear.
I am happy to provide further info or picturesso please don't hesitate to ask. If you want to see the surprise when I presented the car to my parents go to you tube and look for Arthur and Toula reunited with a 1955Mercury.
Thank you
