We are offering this family treasure on eBay for the family that still owns this car. Thisone owner Mercury Park Lane Cruiser, since it was purchased brand new in December of 1959, has always been stored in a garage when it wasn't driven. This 4 door sedan features the 430 V/8 engine that starts good and runs very smooth for not being tuned-up, perhaps ever! The miles areaccurate and the condition of this car definitely supports the odometer. It has some defects as explained in the condition section and we have additional pictures that show these areas of concern. It has the ability to start, run, drive and it shifts smooth and the brakes work very good andare factory power brakes. All of the glass is good and the rear seat looks like it hasn't even been sat in.The carpet is all in very good condition as are the door panels and all of the bright items on the dash and door panels. The front dash vinyl material is showing it's age by wrinkling on the right side but probably can be stretched back and tightened. All of the electrical items work as they should, lights, blinkers, brake lights, horn and thefactory AM radio! Most all of the exterior bright trim is in very good condition but dentedon the right rear beltline molding and the rocker panel has a dented spot also on the right side. These moldings are made out of heavier trim and I am sure can be worked back out and made to look like new if that is a concern. The left rear red tail light has broken edge that is not noticeable but needs to be mentioned. The front grille is all very nice and so are the headlight trim rings. The factory fender skirts for the rear wheels are in the trunk and look to be in excellent condition. Overall the car is just a very nice old treasurer and ought to be put into a collection just as it sits! A true American luxury car of 1960 with that big 430 V/8 engine under the hood! NEW INFORMATION: This car was built in February of 1960 so I have written the story wrong about the purchase being made in December of 1959. I had a chance to go over the owners purchase of the car and he told me to look in the glove box and sure enough the original Mercury Service Policy form signed by the dealer and typed out with the Owners name, address, full serial number, body and spec items, key codes and showing the Seattle District Sales Office as well as the Dealers Store name and signed by the dealer. All of this was done on June 25, 1960! So thanks to one of the potential interested parties for making me aware of the build date as it lead to finding the real facts!
