1942 Mercury Series 99A Description

This is a rare 1942 Mercury Convertible (VIN 99A-483581) with only 946 made prior to the production change over for World War II military needs. Following the war, 1946 saw 6,044 produced with 1947 having 10,022 produced finishing with 1948 where 7,586 were produced. As can be seen in the pictures, this car is very rough and has much bottom end rust.However, replacement panels are available via catalog and on line.It has a complete 1942 Mercury flathead V-8 and running gear. It was purchased about fifteen years ago and shipped from Vermont to its current location in Las Vegas. The vehicle does not have a title. Watch the attached video below for a walk around view.
