1973 Mercury Cougar XR7
1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 Description
This is a 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 - The Original Factory color is Gold Green -Metallic
I am the 3rd Titled Owner on the Vehicle - The Car is originally from Los Angeles California - The Original Owner sold the car to their Grandson who owned a 73 Convertible XR7 and this 73 XR7. He sold this one due to Space issues and figured the California Weather was more suitable for the convertible. The vinyl top on the car was originally white. It has since been dyed black and appeals to the car allot better then the white - nonetheless it can be changed back if you wanted to do so.I have the original 2 Bbl intake andcarburetor - Air Cleaner and Valve Covers. The 351c is extremely strong with no hesitations I would drive it anywhere at a moments notice. All the gauges work including the Emergency Seat Buzzer - I have installed a newer radio thataccepts MP3 or CDs. I do have the original Radio Bezel in the event you want to put the stock radio back in its place. I have the original White Headlights - The yellow are my preference. The New items below were purchased in 2014 and all receipts available. The car is solid. Window cranks are strong with no skip - the engine bay & Aprons are clean and solid - is solid - Frame and Floors solid and clean - The exhaust and sound isincredible- therumbleis enough for someone to hear your around - but quiet enough to have a conversation on a nice afternoon drive. If there is anything further you would like to know please email and I will do my best to get back with you as quickly as possible.
Do not let the (Pictures / Color) fool you - the Color is extremely nice in person and if you research - Cougars - Mustangs (Including Shelbys) from 68 to 73 were painted this same color. The car was repainted approx 2 years ago Base Coat / Clear Coat and the shine is amazing.
