1967 Mercury Comet Description

1967 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible. I bought a Marti report on this car and it is one of 123 cars that came with the 390 Special 2V engine. It is exactly the same engine as the 390 4V GT engine, except it has a 2V carb and intake manifold. It does have the 14 exhaust manifold GT heads. The engine and trans are complete (carb to oil pan). There were only 1539 Convertible Comets built in 1967. so that makes this one pretty unique. The speedometer shows 76,400 miles, the dash pad is still soft and perfect. I believe it is the correct miles. The seats are the original ones, not recovered. It is a Rolling project car. I have the original running 390 engine and Automatic trans.(C6) and it has the original 9" rearend still in car. It has all the exterior trim parts included. Car was taken apart to start a restoration but never completed. It has some rust issues, but not real bad. Needs floor pans. And some lower quarter panel work. May do some partial trade plus cash.
