1967 Mercury Cougar Description

Re-listed due to winning bidder who would not respond to my attempts to contact him.I am willing to end the auction early if anyone is serious on the car. I am also interested in trades. Email me with what you have. This is an all original 1967 Mercury Cougar Standard that came with a 289 A code 4V engine and C4 auto transmission. The engine is there and complete but someone swapped the original 4V carb for a 2V at some point. I think the engine is locked up. We have only tried turning it by hand and we have not actually checked it out at all. I bought the car for a parts car but I dont have the heart to cut it up. It has the typical rusty places that all of the Fords and Mercurys had in the late 60's. The car will need a total complete restoration to bring it back to life. You could use it for a parts car or whatever. We are planning to move and I need to get rid of a lot of my stuff that has just been setting around. The car is from California and it still had the original California title when I purchased it. I have a clean PA title in my name now. The title shows 64,021 miles and I have NO CLUE if that is actual or not. The car has been setting since in the 80's some time. I have a lot of the registration and documentation for the car from clear back into the early 70's not that those papers do much or add a lot of value. Just cool I guess.
I have owned a LOT of these 67 & 68 Cougars and I have a lot of parts for them. I have removed the console and shifter from the car since I took these pics. The car does not come with the console and shifter!
If someone were honestly wanting to restore it, will give you a great deal on any parts that I have that I want to get rid of if you buy the car. Please ask questions and I will help in any way I can and you are also welcome to look at the car in person. Just contact me to make arrangements.A $100 non refundable deposit will be required via PayPal within 24 hrs of the auctions end. Please do not bid if you do not intend to follow through. You will need to haul the car away or have it picked up, do not offer shipping.Thank you and good luck!
