1969 mercury cougar
This car was owned by the same guy for 30 years. It has been stored in a garage and worked on here and there for the last 23 years. It's a work in progress. It started life with a 351 Windsor in it, t now has a 351 Cleveland 4v stuffed in it. Motor was rebuilt a few years ago. It has a performance cam, delbrock performer aluminum intake, olley 750 carb, ccell electronic distributor, ccell 8mm wires, sd blaster coil, ord motorsport cast aluminum valve covers, ndhedman headers. Exhaust is 2 1/4 duals with turbo mufflers. It is backed by a c4 automatic transmission and a ford 9 inch chuck style rear with 350 gears. It has front disc brakes. New starter solenoid and battery cables.
The interior has been partially restored. the front buckets and rear seat have been re-upholstered. it has new carpet, nd new door sill plates still in the package. there is also a headliner brand new in the box. New seat belts in the package from seat belt solutions. Door panels are in good shape. It has a 4 point roll bar.
Outside, he body is in great shape. there is a small spot on top of the drivers side inner fender that needs to be fixed, nd the front bottom corner of the passenger side door has some bubbling on it. floors, rame rails, orque boxes are all clean. Trunk area as well. I have 2 sets of rocker panels for it, he black vinyl top has been replaced, nd looks great. It has a boss 429 stylehood scoop. wheels are 15 inch aluminum centerlines
As previously stated, this is a project car. It isn't finished, ut is well on its way. Some of the interior still needs to be restored...ignition switch, tereo, tc. Because it sat for as long as it did, didn't want to run it from the gas tank in case there was stuff in the bottom of the tank or fuel line. I have it running now from a gas can temporarily. I will include the new steel fuel line from the gas tank to the fuel pump, nd then from the pump to the carb. all you need to do is connect it.
If you're looking for a cougar restoration project that's already had a lot of the work done for you and doesn't need a ton of welding and panel replacement, his ones for you.
