1972 MG Midget Description
This Midget was built into a race car in 1999 and ran its first race in 2000 with the Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing (CVAR) association in a very unique class called Spec F-Production. This is an affordable class of race car where you cannot spend lots of money on engine and suspension upgrades. It's a great way to learn how to race. #77 has run continuously for the past 16 years in CVAR. Additionally, t has run in F-Production with a different motor and transmission. Currently the car is running in Spec F-Production class. This class rules are 1972 SCCA General Competition Regulation specs. I purchased the car in 2012 and stripped it down to bare metal and did a complete restoration. I have lots of pictures to share if interested. Since that time the car has ran in CVAR, VRA, nd has ran at Laguna Seca, ndianapolis, ircuit of the Americas, s well as, exas World Speedway, allett Motor Racing Circuit, nd NOLA. It has many class wins and has won 2 consecutive CVAR SFP class championships. The car has been well maintained and is currently running a new gear box installed in Jan. 2016. Additionally, he car has a clear Texas title and you can drive it to Cars and Coffee or your favorite burger joint on a Saturday afternoon.
