1971 MGB high performance V8
1971 MG MGB convertible Description
In the tradition of Caroll Shelby, here is a well done mgb with a high performance, high horsepower v8 that is a blast to drive. The car handles very well and does track straight under full acceleration. The frame has been reinforced with steel channel, air shocks installed, rack and pinion steering added, 4 wheel disc brake conversion and 17' American Racing mags installed with near new low profile tires. Some body customization has been done like outside door handles removed, custom headlights and some wheel well flairing and a low profile wing added. It has the 2 piece convertible top frame stowed in the trunk and a fairly good top with a clear back window. It also has a toneau cover for when the top is down. Racing seats and 5 point seat belt harness are installed. Sorry, no radio, it was stolen and the speedometer and odometer are not working. With the Edelbrock carb and torquer 289 intake manifold, it starts and runs very reliably. There is an electric oil cooler fan and an electric rad fan installed with a high output water pump system to improve cooling. My "then" wife bought me this car about a year ago and it is a good car, built and licensed 10 years previous. But under my marital circumstances, I have to let it go. It could use a little tlc like signal lights to function reliably and high beams. Good ol' Lucas stuff. I live about 20 minutes from the Buffalo border on the Canadian side and will help with importing into the states if you like. The car is available for viewing at just about any time, so please come see and hear it. If you have any questions, I will try to answer them. Call me at 289 990 9784.
