1975 Replica/Kit Makes Morgan JZR MG Description

The original Morgan three wheel cyclecars were powered by motorcycle engines. This 2003 build of a JZR replica is powered by a 1985 Moto Guzzi 1000cc California 2 automatic engine. Two speed automatic transmission no clutch and no reverse. Had an electric reverse that consists of a starter motor that engages a gear on the drive shaft once a lever is pulled and the power button on it is pushed. I removed it and just push it backwards when need be( weighs 900 lbs and rolls easily). It can be easily replaced as all the parts are still there. Morgan has recently started producing their own turn key version of this with a Harley engine mated to a Miata 5spd automobile transmission for $45,000.00. Most of the JZR Morgan cyclecars utilize honda 500cc/ 650cc or Moto Guzzi with 5 speed manual motorcycle transmissions. This is the only one I know of with anautomatic transmission. Not roomy enough for people larger than 6ft 3 in or more than 250 lbs. I have only used it the last five years for parades, car shows and errands around town. Be warned that you will be mobbed by people asking questions. Ihave driven it up to 60 mph and the first owner/builder states he has had it to 80mph.

I have had some questions asked about registration. Three wheelers of this type are registered and titled as motorcycles in most states. Most states do not issue a title for vehicles older than 20 or more years. This has a title from New Jersey listing it as a 75 moto guzzi motorcycle. That title if need be can still be transferred to the new buyer if your state needs a title for a 1975. Vermont is a state that won't issue a title for vehicles this age so I never used it. I also purchased a new rear tire that I just got last month along with all the seals and gaskets for the rear end and transmission etc when and if they are needed. If reserve is met the trailer beside the mini photo will go with the Jzr to get it to its new home if wanted. Trailer is modified for trike and currently registered and functional with title as single axle 2006 big Tex. Reserve is 13,000. Have one offer to trade if reserve not met for a collector car worth current bid of 10k +
