1957 MG MGA 1500 ROADSTER, 4-SPEED Description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this highly original MGA 1500 in rare factory colors. This car was just purchased from the second owner in state of Virginia where it had been stored in a barn for the last 26 years. This highly original car shows only one modest repaint and extremely original interior in it's interesting "as found" condition. The car's engine bay looks untouched still retaining most all of it's clips, clamps, washer bottle, etc. and is an ideal preservation car or perfect concours restoration candidate.The body on this car looks very straight and accident free. Door, hood and trunk fit is very good to excellent. The doors just click shut. The lower pan with the cross-X behind the grille is perfect. Grille fit is superb. Paintwork is a single older respray and has a semi-flat look to it, with a few touched-in areas. The outer rockers have been replaced at some point, most likely when the car was painted. The inners could use some minor repairs in front of the rear wheels. Overall, a very honest and straight body.The car's interior is almost 100% original including seats, armrest, carpets, heelmat, sidecurtain stowage bag, etc. The red painted matching dashboard is superb. The top is biscuit but now tired. The windshield is still the original Triplex. A nice sidecurtain set is included. The original spare tire bag is in good shape, along with the original Dunlop factory spare tire !The car's engine is matching to the data plate. It turns over by hand and may even run with a little bit of work.All of the car's chromework appears 100% original to the car.Overall, a highly original, never-been-apart, very original and well-preserved MGA Roadster in a rare and desirable factory color scheme.
