1977 MG MGB Description

I purchased this car in 2010 from a close friend. My friend’s mother had purchased this car new when she had turned 40. It seemed appropriate to buy this as in 2010 when I turned 40 and needed a car to drive around town.Overall, the car has been used as a local driver. At one point, this car wasn't so practical for them, so at this point, the car remained in their carport, where it sat for a good 10 years. This became a great project car where we had gone through and replaced all the mechanical parts and I used this car as a daily driver. The majority of my driving was around town, so for the age of the car has relatively low mileage. The interior is brand new, where the carpet, door panels and seats were re-upholstered in leather, with new foam in the seats. The car also comes with two original tonus covers (convertible boots) that are in great shape (rarely used but look great on the car)

When I first got the car, I had put a new vinyl top on this, but unfortunately this was an inexpensive top, and is already worn out but still works in a pinch. One of the mechanics that helped with the cars restoration insisted we change out the carburetor from the original twin carb to a weber carburetor to give it more power. This modification was signed off by the State of California, and the car has passed the required smog required in California.

This is a really great car to drive. I came to a point where I needed a bigger vehicle, but really wanted to keep this car so I put it in storage with the hopes of still getting to use the car. I have all the records of what has been done to this car. We even upgraded the rear tail lights to LED so they are brighter at night.

I had finally come to the realization that this car may sit for a longer period of time, so decided it’s best to find a new home for this car, where someone will appreciate what a great car this is to drive. Youdefinitely get a lot of attention when driving such a classic car.
