1977 MG MGB Description

This beautiful MGB is a one of kind build. This car is all sorted out get in it and start having fun. Its hard to find these cars that actually run great ride great and are reliable.12k invested in parts alone in the last 5 years. Manymany man hours have gone into this car getting it to this point. This is and original numbers matching engine and 4 speed transmission. I did not want a factory overdrive way to many problems and this is not a highway car its a fun around town or back roads car. Although with the power it has now the highway is no problem. I do not put modern transmissions or need overdrive in any of myclassic cars. I do not drive them on the highway they get all beat up with rock chips and cracks in the windshield. I have learned this over the years. This is an original paint car that is 98% rust free a tiny bit in the dog legs as most do. New heavy weight top not that cheap thin tops most put on and full new interior. Both original tonneau covers are included the small and large full unit. The engine was removed and completely resealed cleaned and painted and new timing chain and the head gone thru with some tricks..... I did not do a full rebuild because the cylinders had no ridge at all and this car does not smoke at all even on start up.The original owner took care of this car like it was his child. The original single log intake and cat and zenith carb and single exhaust have been removed. An early very rare Austin marina single carb intake combo twin exit exhaust manifold has been fitted. It was ported and polishedinside and out and Jet Hot coated. A single Moss motors HIf44 carb manual choke carb 800.00 item installed with phenolic spacer. Custom spring and jet and needle installed.Looks factory and very slick. Full Moss Motors TouristTrophy touring stainless exhaust installed. These Items have turned the corked up factory engine into a great driver that revs like crazy and pulls very hard. I did not want the problems many people have with the twin carbs. The single big carb blows them away. There is no catalytic converter oregr valve or air pump on this car they were removed and do not come with the car so if you have to getemissions this car will not pass. I have a special air box from a turbo mini from England mated to a large air filter. I had plans for a different air intakesystem that was cold air but have not gotten to it yet. New Radiator both fan motors are new. Newwater pump, coolant, full set of black silicone radiator and heater hoses look slick and last forever. New heater core and full heater box rebuild includingblasting and paint. Early coolant crossover installed. This car starts right up every time no problems very reliable. Full crane XR2000 ignition and custom made MSD superconductor spark plug wires and NGK spark plugs. Full frontsuspension rebuild including blasting crossmember andcontrol arms and all othercomponents. Painting with pro paint not rattle can. All 4 lever shocks rebuilt by the best company in the U.S.. Black graphite bushings thru out. All new front and rear brakes calipers rebuilt, new rotors, hoses, pads, wheel bearings, rebuilt original power brake booster, new master cylinder, new rear shoes, cylinders spring kits.Newtie rods, kingpins gone thru etc. Steering rackgone thru. Brand new heavy duty clutch and roller throw out bearing, rebuilt factory slave cylinder and new hose. New clutch master cylinder. Working factoryemissionscanister system with newcharcoal and hoses. New oil hoses.Motor mounts. New fuel tank, sende, and factory su solid state electric fuel pump...no points to fail or stick. All new fuel hoses. Every electrical connection cleaned, all new bulbs. New optima yellow top battery and new battery cables include fullground back to engine. Trans cleaned with all new mounts fresh oil shifts like butter. Custom 15 inch 5 new aluminum wheels that look just like the factory wheels but are far superior. Fat V rated tires really ease the steering and grip and ride fantastic. The rear end was also removed cleaned up painted fresh oil and new internal spacers and pin installed and new rear wheel bearings. The drive shaft was cleaned painted and new u joints. The underside is as clean as the topside.I purchased this car from the original owner who has every drop of gas and service from new to 80k miles. Its written in a small green book as seen in the pictures. It is unreal documentation you never find. Both sets of original keys are included which are very rare, ignition, trunk and glovebox keys. This car was in his garage and his Mercedes was sittingoutside. I havethe original sales receipt andmany other hard to get papers. I have a file full of receipts 4 inches thick. I have a copy of the original title. I am only selling it to fund the restoration of my 1971 Dodge Charger. This car gets so much attention whenever I drive it. It is so great on gas also. The car does have minor flaws that an original car would have but is in amazing condition for being fully restored. They are only original once. All thegauges work as do all the lights...even the factory seat belt buzzer works which you never find. Rare factory lucas Am/fm cassette radio with updated factory speakers. Radio can playiPod with cassette adapter. Lots of work hasgone into cleaning and repainting many parts not mentioned here. The car still needs some things done that the new owner can have fun doing...actually there never done..lol. I could go on and on and on. I would like it to go to a good home. Any questions just ask. I am excepting $ only for the purchase of this car. If you need other pictures let me know. Check my feedback
