MG MGB Wire Wheels - New Tires - Split Rear Bumper - Rebuilt Engine - Serviced
1970 MG MGB Convertible Description
Up for auction is my 1970 MGB. The car sports the sought after split rear bumper, wire wheels and the rare original aluminum front hood. This is a reluctant sale as I planned on keeping her forever but issues have come up that force me to sell her. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. This is you chance to get a straight forward MGB well below the current market value. Make no mistake she is selling to the highest bidder. The car runs great. Starts right up with no issues or noises at this time. Tight engine and I see no fluid leaks / drips under the car at this time. Engine holds good oil pressure when warm at idle. The car was just serviced and a new distributor installed and a new set of tires where installed. Transmission shift up / down and through all the gears with no issues. I got the car here in North Carolina from a gentleman who owned her for 20 years and he stated that the engine was rebuilt about 5k miles ago. At this time I know of no mechanical needs for the car. Exterior: The car shows well in the photos and presents herself well in person. Paint is smooth and shinny ( does have a few paint chips that don't show up in the photos). Nice driver quality car. She still retains her original rare original aluminum front hood. Car sports the wire wheel option and I just installed NEW tires this week. Electrical's: This area is in very good condition. The front / rear running lights work, front / rear turn signals work, front / rear side markers work, headlights work, brake lights work, back up lights work, wipers work, blower fan works, horns work, licence plate lights work and the stereo works. Gauges: All gauges are correct "Smith" brand and are in working order.
Interior: Overall driver quality condition. I installed New door seals last week. Trunk: The trunk is solid with spare tire, wire wheel, knock off tool and hammer. Underbody: The underbody is in very, very good condition as seen in the photo. Don't see many this solid out there. Shipping:If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at:http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).
In Closing: The above description is my observations / opinions and they very from person to person so ask all questions prior to bidding. If I have missed anything in the cars description it was not my intention so please ask for as much detail as you need to make an informed decision on the car prior to bidding. Don't want the winning bidder saying afterwards well you missed this or that. Be a responsible bidder and ask all questions prior to bidding. If I missed anything it was not my intention. Not an expert and trying to describe her as fair and accurate as possible. I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or any extra photos please ask prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. She's nice driver quality car so you should expect a 49 year old car when she arrives at your home. Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the car I'm selling her as in "as is" condition and mileage exempt. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end. No exceptions on sending the required $500 deposit.
