1979 MG convertible
1979 MG Midget 1979 Convertible Description
California/Arizona car with minor rust spots and solid foot pans, ront end replaced including suspension, otors, brakes, ie rods. One of the last 9000 Midgets imported to the U.S.Rebuilt heater and fan motor. Many parts replaced including lighting, elays, ackup light indicator, otor & wires, tarter, attery, eat belts, witches, aster cylinder, riginal carburetor (ZenithStromberg) rebuilt. No emissions equipment is operable. No rust through, mall areas of paint bubbling on hood, nd paint is faded on rear from its time outside (before I rescued her). Looks as if she was repainted at one time (poorly) and needs minor body repair and a paint job and little else to fully restore her. After 37 years she does have some minor dings, ut no accidents or big dents. There is an extra hole from the larger bases of the side mirrors (I like the smaller round mirrors) easily covered by putting larger mirrors back on or chrome covers. The interior is completely redone and covered with seat covers to protect them. The dash was cracked and has a custom molded cover for the Midget. Carpet is complete and in good condition. There is a brand new convertible top (used rarely) along with a used tonneau cover, cockpit cover, oth of which have some wear. The user & repair manuals (many of them) are included as are misc. parts including the attachments for wire wheels, nd many light covers, ull spare, ewer tires all around, tc.
Garage kept for the last 3 years and rescued from neglect. Mileage is unknown but is operable along with speedometer. Runs well. Great fun to driveRegistered in Arizona as historic vehicle, nbsp;inexpensive to insure as historic (less than $300/yr) Far more invested than I'll ever got out of it. Low reserve.
Local pickup only.
