As you can see, the car has had lots of recent work, and as I mentioned above, It's a southern car, so it's been living in a dry climate. It has lots of eye appeal and it's a blast to drive. |

This is a nice unrestored 1977 MGB convertible. I purchased it from a local dealership early this spring because I wanted something to play around with, and it had been over ten years since I had owned a convertible MGB. So I bought the car..and drove it this Spring and parked it in my building..along with my other 45 or so cars that I seem to be hoarding...At any rate..I have decided to thin the heard and sell the MGB (I'm also selling my entire collection of the last 20 years)..So here goes. From the best of my abilit, I would call this car a nice unrestored example. . The paint is of fair workmanship and commensurate with perhaps a $2000-2500 job. It has small defects, as you would expect an older paint job to have. The pictures do a nice job. The interior is about three years old, the carpets, dash, and door panels, and seat covers were replaced. Top is probably as old as the paint. The top is a vinyl top, and is in fair shape, one small nick near the rear glass window. A new one can be had here on ebay in the $200 range. The engine runs quite well, along with re-wiring and new alternator and exhaust, and added Weber carburator. The car is lots of fun to drive..With a good Ipod or MP3 C, and the top down and some sunshine, it can't be beat...It looks great and is really zippy. I have driven it up to 75 mph or so, and it holds its own. If you are familiar with older leyland cars and all of their little nuances, this would be a great car for you. In no way am I calling the car perfect or otherwise..It's 38 years old..Old cars require constant upkeep in one way or another..You will always be working on them. This car has had quite a bit of money spent on it in the last few years, so you'll be ahead of most...The fundamentals are nice..new engine..new wheels, tires, suspension, recent interior...nice paint..and a solid body... My best educated guess is that this car is worth around $13,500 or so. I'm going to offer it without reserve. Bid whatever you think it possibly is worth. |
As you can see, the interior is nice. Most appears to have been replaced, new seat covers and carpet set. A/C is a rare option for certian and this A/C blows cold! |
Your children will absolutely love this car!!! |
The engine starts right up and runs well. I drove the car around with the top down for an afternoon and had a great time. The car attracts LOTS of attention! |
In summary, this is a neat old MGB convertible that needs a new home. If you have been dreaming about one of these cars for years, now is your chance! I'm offering this car without reserve price. Bidding shall commence at $19.77. If you have any questions, You are welcome to call me at 800-310-8767. |
