Absolutely stunning 1990 Rover Mini Cooper with a huge list of upgrades. The car was restored in England about 8 years ago where the car was stripped to a bare shell any bad spots in the body were replaced and then it was given a high quality paint job in a fantastic shade of red which still shows beautifully. After the restoration the car was only used for weekend pleasure driving and shows, not your average daily driver. The bright work on the car is in great shape and the 13" chrome Minilite style wheels really make the car pop, even the large fender flares struggle to cover all that rubber!
The car originally came with a 1275cc engine which was bored out to 1380cc with bigger pistons, a fast road cam, LCB exhaust, gas flowed head with big valves and a 1-3/4" SU to top it off. It was put on a dyno in England and produced about 90 hp, it is a very quick little car! To help bring all that power to a stop 4 piston calipers are fitted up front with slotted and drilled discs, the rear has Minifin drums and braided hoses are fitted all around, it does stop as well as it goes. The interior of the car was also updated with fresh carpets, headliner and some very comfortable seats from a later car which have the side bolsters. The dash is out of a later car and looks very nice but the airbag light and headlight level adjusting switch are non-functional (not surprising as the car has neither one). There is a modern stereo added that has 6x9 speakers in the rear and speakers hidden behind the air vents in the dash, very clean and sounds pretty good too.
The car is super clean top to bottom and runs like a champ, it is fun to take it to the local cars and coffee car meet and see people walk past new Porsches and BMW's to come check it out. It is right hand drive and I do have a clear Massachusetts title for the car.
